Justification of your addiction through beliefs shaped for todays youth
(by the media)
It’s a contradiction of all your views but it excuses all the bad you do
(bad things you do)
A cheap imitation of something this world professes to detest
(so stand and protest)
Another god who speaks of easy belief, for he provide your bread
(no he won’t provide)
Anything just like any god that’s ever been before
(what are you praying for?)
Enlightenment, insight in to, a reason why we put up with all this?
(why do you need a reason?)
You’re just enslaving yourself, not saving no one else
(you're saving no one)
This fragile mind was sold over time, but not to the right guy
I’ve heard this tale a thousand times before
But you don’t know the truth of what lies beneath
I’ve heard this tale a thousand times before

A perfect blend of ska & skater punk, this album has a hard edge to its sound, while still using uplifting undertones as a foundation. There are a few tracks such as "Flip the Switch", which explores a darker sound, or "Scavenger", which has a bit of a jazzy undertone, both breaking things up and making for a nice contrast from the other tracks. "Robot" and "Empathy" both have a more mellow and relaxing sound to them, and the latter makes for a perfect close to the album. Worth a listen. :) VigorousJammer
Dead Cross, Retox, and Qui members dish out subversive hardcore with an indignant smirk; come for the riffs, stay for the synth experiments. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 31, 2024
Knockout debut from a Buffalo, New York-based hardcore band who like their riffs sick, their drums fast, and their choruses sticky-sweet. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2024
